What a difference a year makes! Having just returned from several industry trade shows, it was incredibly gratifying to see Dante so prevalent in new OEM products. Dante has become the dominant solution for audio networking. Audinate was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies ranked by Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Asia Pacific 2013.

Our growth translates to more choices for you.  Dante delivers the dream of interoperability, with a commercially supported solution. During the first 90 days of this year, we had so many great partner announcements of Dante enabled products, giving you endless choices, and there are a hundreds under development soon to be released. 

During the past 90 days, there have been major OEM partner product announcements: Yamaha’s new QL series consoles, Harman’s new Soundcraft Vi3000, Biamp’s Tesira Dante card,  Behringer’s X-32 Dante card, Powersoft’s X-series amplifiers, QSC’s Dante networking card, Aviom’s D800-Dante A-Net Distributor, Focusrite’s Rednet-7, Bose’s new Dante Products, IED’s new voice evacuation system, Klang Technology 3-D personal monitoring, Audinate participated in the AV Networking World seminar during Integrated Systems Europe conference.  This event was well attended by the leading AV installation consultants and system designers in Europe. AVNW was co-sponsored with Allen & Heath, Attero Tech, Bosch, Bose, Harman BSS Audio, Focusrite RedNet, Nexo, Open Access, Peavey Commercial Audio, Shure, Harman Soundcraft, Stewart Audio, Symetrix, TC Group, 2N Telecommunications and Yamaha Commercial Audio.  A similar event will be held at InfoComm 2014 on June 17th.

Following the recent announcement of being honored as one of the fastest growing companies in Australia, Audinate has also been recognized by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing technology companies ranked by Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Asia Pacific 2013.

Audinate Doubles Dante™ Ultimo™ Channel Capacity

Audinate announced it is adding a new product to its Ultimo family of products. The new Ultimo (ULT-01-004) supports 4x4 channels of uncompressed audio, double the capacity of the Ultimo (ULT-01-002) introduced at the beginning of 2013.

 “The new Ultimo chip option, together with the enhanced set of features, opens up a new range of products for our OEMs who wish to have cost effective networked audio-over-IP products using Dante”, said Gary Southwell, Audinate’s Vice President of Product Management. “It provides our customers a system on a chip that simplifies design of a whole new category of products.

Audinate Announces Support for AES67 Standard

Audinate announced that it plans to incorporate AES67 transport in its Dante™ media networking solution. The new AES67 standard provides interoperability recommendations for professional quality audio networking in the areas of synchronization, media clock identification, network transport, encoding and streaming and session description. The AES67 standard was published by the Audio Engineering Society in September 2013.

“Solid Stale Logic fully support Audinate’s plan to provide an AES67 option for Dante devices.” states Niall Feldman, SSL Director of New Products. "Interoperability was a primary decision in SSL adopting Dante for Network I/O products and we are pleased the addition of AES67 will add further devices to the 100’s of compatible products already available.”

Crestron Licensing Audinate Dante™ Media Networking Solution

Crestron announced that it has licensed Audinate’s Dante™ media networking solution. The Dante solution is the market leader for digital media networking. The association between Crestron and Audinate enables Crestron to integrate Dante into any of its products.

Dante Controller 3.5 with New Advanced Capabilities

Audinate recently announced Dante Controller version 3.5, an updated release of their free networking management configuration and monitoring application. Several powerful new features have been added such as, providing advanced real-time network monitoring functionality, including multicast bandwidth usage, clock health monitoring and latency management statistical information. These enhancements enable you to quickly identify and fix potential issues on the network, while preserving Dante Controller’s hallmark ease-of-use characteristics.

Audinate’s Dante was the recent recipient of two Readers Choice Awards which are handed out each year by Live Sound International and Prosoundweb.com. The first award was in the Networking Technologies Products category for Dante Ultimo 2x2.

And for the second year in a row, Dante Virtual Soundcard won in the Live Recording Software Products.

AV Networking World 2014 Amsterdam

On Tuesday February 3 the largest and most successful AV Networking World took place in Amsterdam. The seminar was sponsored by Allen & Heath, Attero Tech, Audinate, Bosch, Bose, BSS Audio, Focusrite, Harman, Lab.Gruppen Lake, Nexo, Open Access, Peavey Commercial Audio, Shure, Soundcraft, Stewart Audio, Symetrix, TC Group, 2N Telecommunications and Yamaha Commercial Audio, with media sponsors inAVate and rAVe Publications.  The all-day event covered such topics as, Conferencing systems in the corporate boardroom, AV Systems for small to mid-sized installations, Rail and transport AV public address systems as well as Deploying Large Scale Systems just to name a few. 

In tandem with the seminar was also the largest interoperability demo networking close to 50 different Dante partners’ products in one room. The PA for the seminar was also a complete Dante network and not a single XLR was used.

Dante and Harman BSS wins, places, and shows at Royal Randwick

The Australian Turf Club’s Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney is considered one of the finest horse racing tracks in the world. Randwick spans more than 200 acres, including a six-level grandstand and 15 unique indoor and outdoor spaces used for horse racing and non-race day events, from conferences and exhibitions to premier music and entertainment shows.
